A program designed here

Louisiana lawns do not follow a generic national playbook.

Heat, humidity, heavy rain, drought stress, insects, and year-round weed pressure all change what your lawn needs. We time each visit around local growing conditions—not a one-size-fits-all calendar.

Built for St. Augustine, centipede, zoysia, and bermuda lawns.

Prevent weeds early

Strategic pre-emergent barriers help stop many seasonal weeds before they ever break through the soil.

Target active weeds

Post-emergent treatments are selected for the weed, turf type, temperature, and condition of the lawn.

Feed for the season

Fertilizer, micronutrients, iron, and potassium are used when they benefit the turf instead of forcing growth at the wrong time.

Watch insects & disease

Technicians monitor for common threats such as chinch bugs, armyworms, mole crickets, sod webworms, and large patch.

Eight planned visits

Visits are generally spaced about six weeks apart, giving your lawn consistent support throughout the year.

Clear service communication

We notify you around service, document the visit, and provide watering, mowing, and re-entry guidance.

Good lawn care is a process—not green paint.

Some weeds respond quickly; established sedges, dallisgrass, and stressed areas can require targeted follow-up. Weather, watering, mowing, shade, drainage, and soil conditions also affect results. We will tell you what we see and what the lawn needs next.

What happens throughout the year

Your 8-round lawn treatment plan

This is the typical Baton Rouge–area schedule. Exact timing and materials may shift with turf type, temperature, rainfall, pest pressure, and label requirements.

Winter foundationPrevent & protect
01January–February

Pre-emergent barrier + weed clean-up

We establish a pre-emergent barrier for coming weed pressure and apply blanket post-emergent control for visible winter weeds.

02February–March

Micronutrients + spring disease protection

Early-season micronutrients and iron support color while preventive fungicide helps protect against spring large patch and related disease.

Spring growthWake up & thicken
03March–April

Spring fertilizer + continued weed control

The main fertilizer cycle begins as warm-season turf wakes up. We maintain weed prevention and target remaining weeds as conditions allow.

04May–June

Early-summer nutrition + targeted control

Season-appropriate fertilizer supports active growth while technicians target broadleaf and sedge weeds and watch for early insect activity.

Summer defenseFeed & defend
05June–July

Summer fertilizer + insect protection

Summer nutrition supports color and density while insect protection targets threats such as chinch bugs and armyworms when appropriate.

06August–September

Late-summer weed clean-up + insect control

We clean up treatable weeds and focus insect control on late-season pressure from sod webworms, chinch bugs, and mole crickets.

Fall resetStrengthen & reset
07October–November

Potassium + winter weed prevention + fungicide

Potassium supports stress tolerance, pre- and post-emergents address winter weeds, and fungicide helps cure and prevent fall large patch.

08November–December

Winterizer + second pre-emergent

Winterizer supports root health, a second pre-emergent extends weed prevention, and technicians spot-treat active weeds or fungus as needed.

Treatments are adjusted to protect the turf during extreme heat, drought, heavy rain, cold snaps, or other conditions that make an application ineffective or inappropriate.

Common questions

Before your first treatment

Clear answers about timing, billing, pets, results, and what the program includes.

Is this a monthly lawn treatment?
No. The program includes 8 planned visits per year, generally about six weeks apart. The annual program price is divided into 12 predictable monthly payments.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Service is month-to-month. We want you to stay because the communication and results earn your business.
Do I need to be home for service?
Usually not. As long as we can access the lawn and any locked gates are opened, we can complete service and send your visit notes afterward.
What should I do with children and pets?
Keep people and pets off treated areas during application and follow the re-entry instructions we provide—typically until the treatment has dried. Product-specific directions always control.
When will I see weed-control results?
Many weeds begin responding after treatment, but speed varies by species, maturity, temperature, rainfall, and turf stress. Some difficult weeds require multiple or specialized treatments.
What if an issue appears between visits?
Contact our office. We will review the issue, determine whether it is covered by the program, and arrange the appropriate next step under our satisfaction guarantee.
Which grass types do you treat?
Our program is built for the warm-season grasses common here, including St. Augustine, centipede, zoysia, and bermuda.
Where do you provide lawn service?
We serve Baton Rouge and surrounding communities across Ascension and Livingston, including St. Amant, Prairieville, Gonzales, Geismar, Dutchtown, Sorrento, Denham Springs, Walker, Central, and nearby areas.
