A plan for your yard.
Not just your ZIP code.
A small centipede lawn in St. Amant and a sunny Bermuda yard in Prairieville should not be treated as identical. We consider your lawn’s size, grass type, and current condition when putting your service plan together.

Feed the lawn.
Stay ahead of the weeds.
A stronger lawn takes more than a quick color boost. Our program brings nutrition, weed management, and regular attention together throughout the year.
Seasonal lawn nutrition
Liquid fertilization is adjusted for your grass and its stage of growth. Nutrients, iron, and other micronutrients are selected when appropriate—not added simply because another visit is on the calendar.
Prevention + targeted control
Seasonally timed pre-emergents help reduce new weed pressure. Targeted post-emergents address existing weeds using products suited to your turf and the application conditions.
Care that adapts with the lawn
Regular visits let us monitor lawn response and seasonal insect or disease concerns. We explain any issue that needs closer attention and whether additional care falls outside your program.
We treat lawns; we do not mow them. Your mowing and watering habits still matter. We’ll share aftercare directions so everyday maintenance supports your treatment plan.
Eight visits. Different seasonal jobs.
Your lawn changes.
Its care should, too.
Our year-round program follows the growing season—not a one-size-fits-all fertilizer mix. Here is the big-picture rhythm.
- Spring / wake up
Support the green-up.
Time nutrition to active growth, manage early weeds, and plan preventive applications around seasonal weed pressure.
- Summer / grow steadily
Feed with conditions in mind.
Adjust nutrition and weed control for grass type, heat, rain, and lawn response while watching for seasonal pest issues.
- Fall / transition
Shift the focus.
Reduce growth-pushing nitrogen as warm-season turf slows. Focus on season-appropriate nutrition and cool-season weed prevention.
- Winter / keep watch
Manage weeds, respect dormancy.
Monitor lawn conditions and address winter weed pressure. Dormant warm-season grass does not need summer-style nitrogen feeding.
This is a seasonal overview, not a guaranteed application calendar. Actual products, rates, and timing depend on turf needs, weather, and label directions.
Know the grass under your feet
Different grass.
Different needs.
Ascension lawns are not all the same. A healthy target for one grass type can mean too much growth for another. We build the plan around the turf you actually have.
| Centipede | A lower-nitrogen grass with a naturally lighter color. Chasing an unnaturally dark green with extra fertilizer can work against its health. |
|---|---|
| St. Augustine | Nutrition needs to reflect sunlight, growth, and stress. A shaded area should not automatically receive the same inputs as a sunny one. |
| Bermuda | Generally has higher nitrogen needs than centipede. The right plan still depends on its growing conditions and how the lawn is maintained. |
| Zoysia | Measured feeding helps balance growth with maintenance. Extra nitrogen is not a shortcut to solving thatch or underlying soil problems. |

Good questions. Clear answers.
Before we get growing.
A few things Ascension homeowners often want to know before starting a lawn program.
Ask our team a questionHow many lawn treatments are included each year?
Our lawn fertilization and weed control program includes eight planned visits per year, generally about six weeks apart. Timing can shift with weather and turf conditions. Each visit has a seasonal purpose; it is not the same fertilizer application repeated eight times.
Why are there twelve monthly payments but eight visits?
The annual program price is spread across twelve monthly payments for predictable billing. Monthly billing does not mean monthly treatments. Service is month-to-month with no long-term contract; your estimate explains the price and terms before you approve.
Is weed control included with fertilization?
Yes. The lawn program combines seasonally timed pre-emergent weed prevention with targeted post-emergent control for existing weeds. Products and timing depend on grass type, weed activity, weather, and the label. Some persistent weeds need continued management, and complete permanent elimination is not guaranteed.
Does yellow or thin grass always need more fertilizer?
No. Shade, drainage, mowing, pests, disease, and soil conditions can also affect your lawn. Tell us what you are seeing so we can consider the cause. A soil test may help guide nutrient or pH decisions. Fertilizer cannot revive dead grass or correct a drainage problem by itself.
Can I start the program partway through the year?
Yes. You can request an estimate at any time. We will review your lawn and recommend an appropriate starting point based on the season and its condition, rather than trying to apply missed visits all at once.
Do I need to be home for treatment?
Usually not, as long as we have the access needed for your scheduled service. Please unlock gates, secure pets, and tell us about access restrictions or sensitive areas. Follow the service notes and any watering or mowing instructions provided after treatment.
When can children and pets use the lawn again?
Keep people and pets away from the treatment area during application. Follow the specific re-entry and aftercare instructions provided for the products used. Do not assume that one waiting period applies to every treatment.
