Dereck Palermo founded Grow Green Weed Control with a straightforward idea: South Louisiana homeowners deserved reliable lawn care from a local team that would take ownership of the result.
As a professional firefighter, Dereck built the company around the same habits his other career demands—show up prepared, pay attention to details, communicate clearly and be accountable when people count on you.
What began as one local owner serving his neighbors has grown into a dedicated team caring for hundreds of lawns across Baton Rouge, Ascension and Livingston. The company has grown, but the standard has not changed: treat every property carefully, explain what was done and never make a customer chase us for an answer.
